Website Info

“Gallerist” is a fashionable new word that is now being used in the art world as a substitute for a new special class of art dealer or gallery owner. This new title is not used to describe just any dealer, but one that is more involved with the management and promotion of the artists they work with. As a part of our commitment to the artists we represent today and those we hope to represent in the future, we have developed this blog to provide insight to the best practices of marketing fine art online.Laguna Beach

Headquartered in the beautiful artists community of Laguna Beach, California, TheArtGallerist.com provides artists with a global platform on which they can display and sell their artwork. We work hard to make the website available to the millions around the world that may not have access to fine art galleries, yet understand the effect fine art can have on one’s environment, emotions, and perspective. We also appeal to people that have an appreciation for artists with exceptional talent and the ability they have to express themselves through their art.

TheArtGallerist.com  is a juried website. We do not accept every artist that would like to exhibit their work. All student and emerging artists must first submit samples of their work for consideration to a jury of art professionals who are commonly interested in maintaining the quality of the artwork being presented. Artists must exhibit extraordinary technical skills, an authentic, distinctive style along with a unique and personal interpretation or point of view.

TheArtGallerist.com website is divided into three separate “exhibits”. With one exhibit for Student artists, a second for Emerging artists, and a third for Professional artists, we provide visitors with the best quality artwork segmented by experience, skill level, and “artistic authenticity”. While many of our artists are quickly moving from one category to the next and it is always possible to find extremely good work in all of our exhibits, generally the prices of the works found within each gallery reflect these attributes, simplifying the process of finding just the right piece of artwork within your budget.

We hope that you enjoy our new blog, and take away some additional ideas on the “do’s and don’ts” of art marketing in the 21st century.
